TRANSPARENCY #8

Eight of the Ten Commandments are negative commands. Five out of those eight have reference to possible negative relationships with one's fellowman. Jesus said that the most excellent positive ,love of God and our fellowman, sums up the Law and the Prophets.(Mt. 22:40) So negatives exist when love is disregarded.
Agape towards our fellowman is an action of the will. Negatives towards our fellowman are also actions of the will. Their existance is no happenstance; they are products of our will.
The Holy Spirit's omniscience about all this is illustrated in the way attention is given by inspiration to the various negative responses one might have to his fellowman. And these various negatives are enumerated and explained in scripture.
